Charger not included. Use only ICOM-approved chargers (e.g. BC-224, BC-197) compatible with the BP-280.
Charging Instructions
- Remove the battery from the transceiver before charging.
- Insert the BP-280 into an ICOM-approved charger (BC-224 or equivalent).
- Charge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area — avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 45 °C.
- The charger indicator will signal when charging is complete. Do not leave unattended for extended periods after a full charge.
- Allow the battery to cool to room temperature before reinserting into the transceiver.
Safety Information
- Do not open, crush, short-circuit, or incinerate the battery.
- Keep away from water, high humidity, and extreme temperatures.
- Do not charge a damaged or swollen battery — dispose of it safely through an authorised Li-ion recycling facility.
- Keep out of reach of children.
