Rob Avery started his flying career in July 1975, training and flying operationally in the rugged mountainous regions of New Zealand's South Island. Later Rob converted his NZ professional licence over to Australia. Rob trained his first ATPL students in 1992, and through word of mouth, the business quickly expanded from there. The arrival of the Internet allowed Rob to be first to present online Pilot theory courses across Australia, and later around the world.
Today, Rob still provides online ATPL training courses, but also trains pilots in-class on behalf of via various institutions, and has provided ATPL courses under contract to all major Australian airlines, plus some Asian carriers.
Skylines has been an agent for Rob's training manuals and practice examinations from BAK (RPPL) to ATPL since 1994.
There are thirty four CASR Part 61 compliant training books and examination booklets in the Rob Avery range, which is by far the largest number by any Australian author.
